Semiconductors

Semiconductors are designed to perform multiple functions either as an ‘integrated circuit’ or as a single function ‘discrete device.’ Automobiles, computers, televisions, radios, telephones, medical equipment, jet fighters, industrial robots, washing machines… all are designed and manufactured with semiconductor electronics. While integrated circuits such as microprocessors have gained more public awareness during the past several years, Discretes, which are the root functions of all integrated circuits, continue to be the necessary component for most products.
